PBS/KUHT Channel 8 will air the movie A Force More Powerful on October 2nd and 3rd 2008 at 10 PM.
We urge you in earnest to mark your calendar to watch this movie. Please help us get the word out by telling your friends, neighbors, newspapers, and organizations.

A FORCE MORE POWERFUL is a two part documentary series on one of the 20th century’s most important and least known stories, how non-violent power overcame oppression and authoritarian rule. In South Africa in 1907, Mohandas Gandhi led Indian immigrants in a nonviolent fight for rights denied them by white rulers. The power that Gandhi pioneered has been used by underdogs on every continent and in every decade of the 20th century, to fight for their rights and freedom.

Gandhiji is a great figure, respected and worshipped all over the world. He was born in Gujarat, but the whole world became the realm of his action. These pictures show some of the principal and significant facets of his personality; a unique reference from his childhood, his studies in England, his activities in South Africa, his struggle for Indian independence and incidents involving many leaders.
