Mahatma Gandhi Week 2005 - Speech Contest Sponsored by Mahatma Gandhi Library, Inc. and Arya Samaj Greater HoustonA project to create a higher awareness of the inspiring life and work of Mahatma Gandhi to promote universal values of Truth, Non-Violence, Love and Service. The contest is open to all children in the greater Houston area and is part of the weeklong, city-wide celebration of Mahatma Gandhi Week September 26 - October 2, 2005. Date: Saturday, October 1, 2005 Time: 10 AM Place: Arya Samaj Greater Houston, 14375 Schiller Road, Houston Please submit all entries no later than September 15, 2005. Age 10 and below: In a maximum of 3 minutes present a talk on "WHAT PEACE MEANS TO ME AND MY FRIENDS" Age 11 and up: In a maximum of 3 minutes present a talk on "MY PEACEFUL SOLUTION TO TODAY'S VIOLENT WORLD" The talks will be judged on content, presentation style and delivery by a panel of judges.
