Mahatma Gandhi Week 2007 - Speech Contest Sponsored by Mahatma Gandhi Library, Inc. and Arya Samaj Greater Houston'A Celebration of Mahatma Gandhi Week' City Wide Speech Contest A project to create a higher awareness of the inspiring life and work of Mahatma Gandhi to promote universal values of Truth, Non-Violence, Love and Service. The contest is open to all children in the greater Houston area and is part of the week long, city-wide celebration of Mahatma Gandhi Week culminating on October 7, 2007. Date: September 29, 2007 Time: 10 AM Place: Arya Samaj Greater Houston 14375 Schiller Road, Houston Please submit all entries no later than 5 p.m. Friday, September 14 In a maximum of 3 minutes present a talk on: Age 10 and below: "Honesty is the Best Policy" Age 11 and up: "Be the Change you wish to see in this world" The talks will be judged on content, presentation style and delivery by a panel of judges. Winners will also present their talk at the annual "1000 Lights for Peace" celebration on Oct 7, 2007.
