And Arya Samaj Greater HoustonClick here to download ENTRY FORM - (Word Document) “Gandhiji—My Ideal” - Speech Contest A project to create a higher awareness of the inspiring life and work of Mahatma Gandhi and continue his legacy of non-violence and peace. In a maximum of 3 (three) minutes, present a talk on Gandhi-ji - My Ideal. The talks will be judged on content, presentation style and delivery by a panel of judges. Address: Arya Samaj Greater Houston 14375 Schiller Road Houston, Texas 77082 Saturday, September 25, 2004 - 10:30 A.M. First Place is a trip to visit the M.K. Gandhi Institute for Non-Violence in Memphis, Tennessee (Airfare and lodging included). The Gandhi Institute is on the campus of Christian Brothers University (www.gandhiinstitute.org). Second and Third Place honors will also be awarded. The contest is open to all children 11 to 16 years of age in the greater Houston area and is part of the weeklong, city-wide celebration of Gandhi Week September27-October 2, 2004. Parent of the child should submit the child's name, age, date of birth, address, phone number/email address. Participant's name must be received no later than 5 p.m. Wednesday, September 15, 2004.
